Location Taipei

Located in Nangang District on the eastern side of Taipei, the school campus serves as the largest public open space in the community. It borders Dongming Park to the south and looks toward the historic river corridor greenbelt to the west. The project aims to connect the site’s greenery with the city’s ecological network.

The main campus entrance sits along Lane 64, Xingnan Street, serving as the primary drop-off and access point. The southeast edge is adjacent to Dongming Park and may connect to a corner plaza near the Taihoku Fertilizer residential complex in the future. General classrooms and the kindergarten are placed on the quieter north side of the site, while the sports field and gymnasium are arranged on the more active east and south sides. Positioned between them is the Administrative and Vocational Building, a neutral zone that links both areas and faces the main entrance.

The building volumes define a series of courtyards, with open spaces organized into three zones: the entrance plaza, inner courtyard, and sports field. Dedicated courtyard spaces serve the kindergarten, lower grades, and upper grades respectively. Building heights are lowered along street frontages and corners to reduce the sense of enclosure and enhance the pedestrian experience.
