The new College of Engineering building is composed of two main structures: a seven-story north wing shaped like an open square (ㄇ) and a six-story south wing arranged linearly. Together, they enclose a central courtyard in a square layout (回). A portion of the Old Mechanical Engineering Pavilion is preserved on the adjacent plaza, facing the First Student Activity Center across the way.

Lower levels house public spaces such as classrooms, a 300-seat auditorium, and administrative offices, while upper floors are dedicated to research labs and faculty offices. All spaces are planned with modular dimensions to ensure future flexibility. The auditorium is located beneath the courtyard; accessed via a descending stair from the second-floor terrace, it connects to both the ground level and the sunken level below. Natural wind and light pass through a skybridge linking the north and south wings, flowing into the courtyard. A vertical ventilation tower, balconies, and stairwells integrated into the interior corridor system further draw light and air into each floor.
